All right, well, let's kick it off. Um, Mikey and RAF, if you can start bringing people up, um, that are in cohort one, um, Today, the agenda is chat a little bit about, um, the builders club and benefits that you can plug into, even if you're not in the first incubator cohort. And then we'll just talk a little bit about the process of how we selected these companies, um, and these projects, these individuals, and then we'll highlight them all.
We'll have them come up, share a little bit about what they're working on and how the pop community can get involved, how they can. And benefit.
All right. And so we start bringing those people up. I think the great place to start is just to really like zone in on the builders club. Um, and why that started, you know, we actually didn't plan on having a, a builders club or a broader resource for all members of pop, to plug in and learn to engage, to get support for their projects.
We really just imagined it. Um, just one incubator where we could focus on, you know, five, six or seven projects at a time, really like provide the ultimate value to them and have strong focus. Um, something that everybody in the community could like carry in their mind and get behind. And we're, we're excited to do that.
Um, but it was really clear after we got over 200 applications, how strong they were, um, in the middle of that review process, we started thinking. We can't leave all, all these people to the wayside are so talented. Um, there's really promising concepts here, right? So even if we, we thought, well, even if we can't get behind them in the same way that we do the incubator in terms of funding and helping them prove out that product market fit, we can still, you know, create a suite of services, um, that are really robust, you know, and that is not only just
parents.
Support each other. It's also providing strong programming. Um, in terms of that, you'll see some big news around genius workshops and genius calls coming out. Soon. Those genius calls or workshops are, um, conversations that we host in pop that are exclusive to our members. And they cover all kinds of things, you know, from whether you are, e-commerce a professional, whether you're building DS, whether you're an NT collector, um, we're excited to announce the first two workshops, um, are going to be with premed and doing analytics.
So we'll be covering the basics of, you know, how to have a successful, um, NFT project with premed. And then doing analytics is something who may know have these really rich. Dashboards that you can build out that take all kinds of on chain data and create visualizations that are really compelling. Um, and they're updated live in real time.
So the Doon team that's gonna help us walk through those. Um, and then the next few genius calls, um, we don't have the exact time sorted, but we're working with three. Really promising, uh, not just, I mean, the very renowned people that are in the NT space that have built exceptional projects. I'm not gonna announce 'em today.
Um, but they're leaders of like big PFP projects and utility projects that I think you could expect to hear from some really cool people in the coming, um, months on the genius calls that. I mentioned, we'll be pairing people into, uh, mentor mentee, peer groups. That's going to happen over the next week. If you haven't yet, if you're a pop member, it's really important that you fill out the submission form, the application form.
Now everyone's accepted automatically, but when you provide this information to us, it helps us understand what you're looking for. Like, are you an investor looking for deal flow? Are you a developer that's looking to create smart contracts for people. Are you creative? You know, are you launching a PFP project, sort of, what do you need?
What kind of people that we might align you with? Um, so if you wanna fill that form, uh, black bull will pin that to the, to this space guess read from the other day, you'll see, uh, it says builders called application forum, and we'll post that in the pop telegram too. Uh, the last thing that we're doing with, uh, the pop builders club is we're actually gonna be hosting these really cool, uh, investor pitch days, where as a member, you know, a contributor builder, you can get real time feedback from investors, whether you're raising capital or not, um, to talk about sort of the scope of your idea to pressure, test it, to, uh, you know, get feedback.
Professionals and not that are outside your peer group. Um, so I think those are also some of the really cool things that we're excited to offer at the builders club and Rath, is there anything that I missed in terms of like, I guess you could highlight sort of the dates and the things that those are beginning, but any other programming and the benefits that we make sure we shine a light on?
Um, yeah. First all thanks. And, and hi everyone. Um, Good that you hear. And, um, I know a lot of you have been, you know, very looking forward to the incubator and maybe a bit, um, disappointed, um, if, if you weren't chosen, but that's exactly why we're doing this build as club to really provide us much support and resources to, to all the cool builders in the community.
And, um, personally, I'm most excited about the whole. Mentorship and feedback part, because I think it's actually incredibly hard to, to get feedback when you are very early stage and when you're building and, and to have a whole community behind you and, and bear in mind that we had 250 people sign up voluntarily that want to be mentors toward, and they want to be testers.
They want to provide feedback and help, and is, is, is, is pretty unique and is, is a way to. Just fast track that, that process and in, in, in such a better way than, than it's normally done or cause. I think I mentioned that story last time, that when, with my first company, when we would try to get feedback, we had to put up a meet up and, and invite people for pizza and hope that anybody would show up.
And then we still didn't know, okay. Were these actually be the right users, the right audience to ask? And I think within the, within the pop community, you actually find the right users for your product. And I think we can see that daily in the chats that, um, For everybody, who's looking for some, something somebody has already gone that way before, or has tried something similar or is maybe building a solution that they're looking for.
And I think that that is really the power of our community that you can find exactly the right. People who want to use your product and, and, and who can give you the right feedback or the right mentorship. Um, I'm also quite excited about the mastermind groups. I have been part of, of quite a few of those myself.
And I think, you know, having, having a, a peer group that keeps you accountable and that keeps you focused and on track and. Oftentimes, these people also become lifelong friends is a pretty cool thing. And that's why that's the main reason we ask you to fill out that, um, that survey, um, that builders club sign up form so that, um, it will be easier for, for you to find the right people whom you want to be in a mastermind group.
Um, yeah. And maybe coming to the dates we are starting next week. Um, so from next week onwards, I think we asked everybody to fill out their details in the builders club, um, sign up form by the 20th, and then we will share the next steps, but then we'll basically step one to find your mastermind groups.
And, and then we will announce the dates for the first mentor days for the first pitch days. And, and. and all of the goods, all, all the program and that's that's to come. But I think that really the first step is to put your information there by next week. And then we're starting with the mastermind. Yeah, thank you.
Um, and to your credit RAF, you know, you've done a great job. Um, helping put the committee together to vetting tons of tons of companies to providing feedback directly to many of the submissions. Um, it's been really well received by the community. And so, you know, we're excited to like to have your in your leadership, you know, your experience as a founder, as a venture capitalist, as a leader of incubators, Um, it's really like, uh, our pleasure and like, you know, your experiences, like come to the fourth.
I I'd like you to just chat a little bit about how you and how you, um, came up with the criteria. What kind of things we were looking for in the companies that we chose for the incubator.
Yes. So, um, I think from very early on, we said, okay, um, let's, um, first of all, focus on that this project can have a benefit for the pop community. We also said, um, can this, Candice, does this have potential to become a large company? Um, is this, um, something innovative and different? Um, and I think the last one and the last criteria was also like, is it, does it.
Yeah. Um, factor in diversity and, um, diversity, we, we looked at founder backgrounds, but we also looked at different geographical regions. We looked at, um, different ideas. So we wanted to make sure that we don't have, for example, Only NFT drops in there, or, um, only infrastructure projects, but that we have a broad range of projects because this is the first time we're running the project, um, or the, the incubator.
And, um, and I think it will really be telling what kind of projects, um, We can help best with, with, with, with this incubator. And, um, and that, that will also inform and what we're looking for for the cohort two, but those were really the, the broad, um, criteria. And I think we kept it very open and vague for a reason cause we wanted to see, okay, what is everyone building in the community?
And what, what are the, the ideas that, that are coming and really like so many different ideas came and I. You know, after the submission ended, I shared that screenshot with you where you saw that we had, for example, 21% of submissions in the infrastructure and no code area, then 13%, um, were from the Dow tooling and, and, um, engagement.
Um, Area, we had 9% NFT drops that applied, but also I think 3% education startups. Um, and yeah, so, so we had a really, really interesting variety. And I think that is now reflected in the final choice that we've made. Yeah, and it was very competitive. You know, the, the committee was, you know, up to the very last, you know, minute, I think juggling like our last few.
And, uh, we, we had initially peered down that 200, you know, to about 50 then again to about 30 and then eventually to our top 10 and our top five and, you know, debating throughout the process. I wanna shout out a few of the members of the committee. Um, first is, is Alex, who is a incredible, um, Has a great diversity of experience in venture capital in incubators to Alex Marshall, as a Genesis member.
Um, we had a gr we had a bunch of great discussions with her. We worked with Josh Stein, who is the prior editor of a tech crunch and is a BC at signal fire who worked with Janet Ogan, um, founder of Janet's. We, and of course myself, uh, RAF, who was the head of incubator and Mikey Piero all participated as well.
Um, so it's been a really interesting month. It's taken up a lot of bandwidth, but it's been super worth it. And now we're excited to announce our winners. Um, well, I don't wanna say winners cuz it's more like the, more like a cohort, those who were selected to participate in the Inc theater. Um, so without any further ado, let's get into it.
Um, if we could. Bring the forms team up. I think that would be great. Let's see if we could get Draper, maybe drew Josh. Um, I'll start painting you if I can. So some of the, um, just for the scope of the incubator, we, uh, we chose six. Projects to participate in this first one. And we thought that was like a great number.
It's like sort of a number that people can track can sort of get behind and support without, you know, getting too watered down and not being able to follow all the stories, um, between those six, uh, there's a range of funding for those six, but the total is coming to about, uh, two upwards of $250,000 for the first cohort.
Um, they'll be participating. For the next few months. And then we plan to open up the next one in early 20, 23. Um, alright. So without further ado, let's talk about forms and probably, maybe you can pin, uh, the tweet from them. Now. I don't think I could do as great a job explaining as, as Draper and, and Josh and, and the team.
So I'll hand it over to them, but this was like a really exciting one for us because. We wanted the community to really get behind an NFT drop, but we felt of course, that like recently, like the sort of dearth of PFPs and sort of how oversaturated and, you know, sort of uninspired and uncreative and derivative they become.
So we're looking for something that really novel and could represent, um, some growth and some something that moved the space forward, um, that really represented like the pop pops innovation as well. So. I'll hand it over to Drapers, you know, congrats. Um, tell us a little bit, bit about forms. Yeah. Thank you.
Um, yeah, I mean, we. Myself and, and the rest of the team and drew and Josh here, uh, as well, you know, we're, we're really excited to be part of the, um, pop Inc beta. And we're obviously, you know, very excited to connect with the other great projects and the cohort and, and working to deliver, you know, really special experience for CPG and, and the rest of the pop community.
Um, but I thought I'd try and give, you know, a, sort of, a little brief overview of, of our vision for the project and, and, and what it is. Forms is an NFT project that we kind of designed to solve a problem that we were seeing in other PFP communities. And that's the NFTs are kind of increasingly becoming our digital identities, but holders at the moment we feel face a dilemma.
Uh, one option is you can build your identity around, uh, single style and set of traits. You know, maybe you have a board eight with trippy fur and a birthday hat, and you're pretty happy with that. You kind of use that as your identity, maybe for months or years and, and, and it, and it is true that that can build you really strong, recognizable identity.
Um, but the problem with it is that it limits your options to express yourself. It's the kind of digital equivalent of just wearing one set of clothes every day for your life. And. No offense, mark Zuckerberg in the audience. Um, but the alternative to that is kind of also has problems, which is, is switching between various NFTs that you may own.
So maybe you're an eight one week and then you're a Tubby cat, and then you are doodles and so on. So you are kind of, you're getting all that, um, ability to express yourself stylistically, but you are losing that, uh, identity consist. So forms is our attempt to kind of bridge this gap. Uh, you'll own your traits.
And every season, a new artist is gonna bring a totally unique aesthetic to the collection. So to illustrate that let's say your identity is, is a baseball cap. It's a pair of shades, it's necklace and a biker jacket. I, in, in one season, those might be styled in a kind of cute 2d aesthetic in the next season.
They might come to. Photo real 3d in the following season. Maybe there'll be a stylized manger. Um, and so on. So kind of over time, you are having this one set of traits, but you're building up this digital wardrobe of, of ways to express yourself that you can switch between as, and when you choose. So if you wake up feeling.
Cute. You can, you can display your cute identity. And if the next day you're feeling edgier, you can switch to an edgier look, but you're having that same consistent identity throughout. Um, but with this kind of seasonal structure, we want it to be much more than just an aesthetic update to, to your PFP.
So we'll be kind of doing everything we can to create sort of worlds, to explore with, with our community via storytelling and activations and other stuff that you know is kind of underwr in development for. Um, and to date, the kind of team has been building and stealth. Um, but you know, with, with the kind of launch of the in integrator and cohort one, we're really excited to, to switch and start building in public and, and we'll be releasing more info in the coming weeks.
So, yeah, tremendously excited about this. Thanks to everyone. And thanks to rap, you know, for being our point of contact, um, we're just really excited to, to get going. That was a great, uh, recap. And I tend a pretty cool G that you sent me earlier, um, to the chat. So if you wanna see what it looks like, you know, if you have red hair, blue shirt gap to the cigarette and kind of how you could swap, imagine it kind of swapping through these, these styles over time and how you could actually have a portal where you went and then, you know, change the look of your NFT according to whatever season.
So it's kind of like you have one NFT, it's one token. There could be a bunch of myriad of artwork. That's actually programmed into that single the token and how that, uh, allows you to show up as your digital self in so many different places. So it's an awesome project. Um, as part of pop and the incubator, we're gonna be providing all kinds of updates from the projects that we support.
So you can expect to hear a lot more about forms. You can see sort of them build in public and provide updates and, uh, along the way. So we're, we're excited to hear more Draper. And if you weren't in, um, if you. Submit an NFT drop for a pop that, uh, wasn't selected for the incubator cohort. We still do encourage you to.
You know, extend those benefits to the community for, you know, allow list and discounted and early access and sharing those stories. Um, we're still happy to support you because there's a lot of really great ones. Um, in fact, I won't spoil it, but some of the sort of honorary, uh, mentions and some of the finalists, um, were heavily indexed for NFT projects that will be, we'll be sharing some of those, um, with the committee in the coming weeks as well.
So thanks Draper. Did anyone from, uh, the panel wanna ask any questions before we move on to the next. The next, uh, incubator cohort, uh, selecting, we need a better word for that.
No, I was really stoked on this one. I think there was a lot of commitment we felt to bring back to the community and this seemed like a really cool, interesting way for our members to get involved in something that. Um, give them a PFP that could be ified. And I thought it was amazing. And I really enjoyed going through all of the, the entire cohort, um, has done amazing work and all the submissions.
It was so hard to narrow this down, but really excited for forms and to keep working with them. Yeah. One of the cool things about, um, forums too, that I'll just shout out is the, you know, the FWB community, friends with benefits is, you know, it kind of was born out of that in a way, a lot of the crossover to the same audience.
And that was my first, uh, NFT, you know, crypto community was FWB. And then after we, um, Actually selected 'em I didn't even realize it, but there's a couple O other members on the team that are also in pop and Genesis. So that's, uh, Hersh, Hershey. Moin was, again, I don't mind herher he pronounce that, but, uh, he and Andrew as well, you did pretty well.
I'll give you that. and you've been a long time Genesis member and supporter too. Cheers, cheers to you. And we're excited to for the what's next with forums. Yeah. All right, everyone let's bring up Marcus and or who else from the team? Should we bring up? Maybe Harold and Chandra. If we can, and everyone feel free to stay on stage.
If you've, if you're up here, we will probably take some questions at the end. You feel free to bounce. If you need to, let's get Marcus. I've been sending invites. I'm not sure if folks are getting them, but definitely. Hit up the team. Okay, cool. I'm sure they'll jump up here any second.
If you're on the team, feel free to request, cuz I see you in the audience and I'm sending invites, but you might not be getting them. All right. We got uh, Harold and Marcus on stage. Hey, how y'all doing? Very cool. Hey, Marcus. It's great to finally chat, uh, in real life. Yeah. Thanks Harold. Are you up here too?
I I'm thinking. Yeah, I'll let Harold, uh, let Harold kick it off. I'll talk about technical stuff. Yeah folks. Hey, Hey everybody. Um, so super excited to be here. I'm Harold. Uh, this is Marcus. Um, we're excited to be presenting payroll three. Um, as some of you may know, um, building a crypto company or any project can be incredibly collaborative, uh, but with collaboration means you've gotta deal with a.
Headaches with payments. Do we write Wallace into the contract? Do we put all of the money into one place? And then every month we dispute, we disperse it. Uh, and so Marcus had this idea. We said, what if we could build this to where anyone could make a smart wallet and then that wallet easily sent the payments that are pre-degree upon, based on percentages to the individual contributors.
And then we took a second step Chandra. Who's got a background as being a, a remote and fraction of CFO for many startups. Um, he said, well, what about compliance? What's gonna happen when more and more of these, uh, projects. Start to be scrutinized. When you look at like how much money have you actually made and this and that, how would we report that?
I can tell you, this is one of the founding members of black at one of the things we have is that there's myself, Audrey and SHK who take 10% of the myth. And so with that, the whole thing is that we're able to hold on one second. So with, with that, we're saying like, oh man, How much money have I actually made from the mans?
I have no idea. Uh, and so one of the things we've been able to do is start building those types of reporting information. So that even when that time comes, when we have to deal with reporting and auditing and all that, you all have a lot of that information. And so we build payroll three to make, uh, crypto more fun, less complicated when people to be paid easily.
Um, I'll let, um, Marcus talk a little bit. Some of the tokens. Um, we already support obviously support E but Marcus, you wanna add anything about, uh, what we're starting and I'll add a little teaser at the end for what we're giving everyone who's listening. yeah. Marcus, let me recap real quick. Just so I think the audience wants to know like, basically, because it's so different than the last project.
Imagine like a, a crypto FinTech product that literally automates all your payments. Think if you have moderators, you've got smart contract developers, you have creatives all getting paid in, you know, E or U SDC, Solana, all these different kind of funds and how you, as like the, the owner of a project don't need to be going into nosis safe, like 10 times a week, sending multiple transactions.
You can actually just all schedule it in this. Single secure environment where you have like a payment split set up, you've got scheduled payments to all your top, uh, all your contributors, um, and just automating that and sort of abstracting a lot of the pain, you know, acting more like a traditional payroll software, but crypto native.
Yeah, that that's absolutely right. So, uh, off the bat, we're supporting E payments U SDC. What's pretty cool about, uh, we, we support any native tokens. We also, uh, launched on polygon too as well. Uh, so we support the native tokens and we support ERC, um, uh, 20 tokens, any kind of tokens that, so that's, that's including.
You know, we have, we support ape, uh, U S C. And I can imagine that there's plenty of 'em coming. Uh, and we're happy to be part of this, this, uh, this, uh, cohort. And we're excited to, uh, be able to add a lot more features. We got a lot, lot more stuff, uh, on the way as far as compliance and, and how to quickly put together these new payrolls.
And we're excited to be a part of this. And I can't wait for, uh, To share ideas and, and y'all mentor the heck out of us. So I'm, I'm pretty hyped up about. Yeah, this is the kind of product that I'm excited to get kind of hands on and, you know, get in the weeds on a little bit. Cause just talk about like your, our experiences as project founders that are constantly, you know, making these payments and have like a real need.
Um, and this just seems like such an obvious, like a way that could easily be a. Scaled and, you know, programmed and become this utility. That's really commonplace in the, in the industry, but almost like a low hanging for it's like, why doesn't this exist yet? You know, like when you said it, I was like, oh, this is so obvious.
Like why, how does payroll three, like not, not exist already. So, um, cheers. And I think we'll be really excited to hear what's coming next. Yeah. And, and canteen, I'll say one quick thing. Um, we agree, like we wanna look at, uh, how we can be the payment infrastructure company of all of web three. Love so many of these builder community hugs at WB and all of that.
So one of the things we wanted to do is being part of the initial cohort is to make sure we showed some love to all the poppers out there. So, uh, the payroll three account, if y'all see it, it's in the room, but we also just pinned, uh, their first tweet. Uh, if you have a pop. NFT a CPG Genesis NFT, or a black at NFT, because that's where this project started from.
You're actually able to min a payroll, three wallet for free. Um, other than that it's 0.02. So incredibly, uh, inexpensive. Uh, I currently use my payroll three wallet, not the zero, not just for my projects, but also to easily manage the amount of crypto I'm moving from my ledger to my hot wallet. So now instead of sending money directly to each of those and managing all those transac.
I send it all to my smart wallet and then it breaks out the percentages kind of like how you would manage your own budget. Uh, and so super excited to get this in the hands of all the poppers out there. Uh, really love everybody who helped, uh, make this happen and excited to be building, uh, with markets and Chandra.
So we appreciate it. Wow. Okay. So I'm mentioning my token right now, so yeah, yeah. CPG, uh, Genesis black at or pop token. Hit that link in, in the pinned. Uh, that's pinned. You can do a Freeman right now. Hell yeah. Thank you so much. That is amazing. I'm doing it as well. Love it. Thank y'all. Let's build. Let's do it.
All right. Let's bring up the team from gift pack. Um, I'm looking for them in the audience. Hey Chris, it's here, Steven. I'm on the, uh, I'm on the official account. Hey. Oh, you made it up. Okay. You're already here. yeah. Okay. This is a really cool, and this is like a great way, cuz like all these, um, you know, we've, we've done a really good job sticking true to that mandate of like having a diverse group of, uh, types of companies.
So we've had an NFT drop. We've had a, a FinTech, you know, payment info info program. And now we have give pack and I'll leave it to you to explain exactly what you do. Sure. Absolutely. I'm I'm number one. I just wanna say we're thrilled to be here and so happy to have the support of the CPG community. Uh, so we're building a crypto fundraising platform for nonprofits to make it super easy for them to accept crypto donations.
And then, you know, we'll convert the, the crypto to cash on the back end, wire it to them, or send them a check so that they don't even have to worry about. Custodying it, uh, my co-founder Alicia and I have been working in digital in the nonprofit space for a decade each. Um, so we're very familiar with sort of using web two channels for, you know, digital fundraising and audience development for nonprofits.
But, you know, we started noticing NFT projects. Dows sitting on big treasuries, all, you know, Giving back and baking in social impact into their projects. So we wanted to figure out, you know, how can we make sure nonprofits don't miss this wave and started talking to our clients and the nonprofits in our networks.
And nobody even had the infrastructure to accept crypto donations. Um, despite a massive growth in giving less than 0.1% of nonprofits are set up to accept crypto donations. Uh, at the same time, you know, crypto giving grew 16 X last year from 2020 to 2021. Um, so it's kind of, you know, that Jeff be Jeff Bezos has that famous video where he's talking about, you know, the internet growing X percent a day and looking for the opportunity there.
So we see here, you know, an opportunity where. It's a huge addressable market, um, ex you know, exponential growth and, you know, we want to be a technology platform to facilitate this. And I'll just add that, you know, one of our differentiators is that we're building out a Dow in a community alongside the technology platform.
Um, so 1% of all the donations that come through the platform would be given to a nonprofit Dow treasury that's controlled by our. Both the donors and nonprofits that use the platform will be able to claim PAC token, which essentially gives them governance rights or the use of that treasury for social impact.
Um, so whether they wanna buy NFTs from underrepresented creators or they want to make a donation to Ukraine, um, or they wanna set up a speaker series on how nonprofits can launch their own. I T collect. You know that treasuries for the community to use, you know, we feel like there's, we want to, you know, tap into the web through ethos of giving back to community and making them, you know, part of your journey, uh, which I think the incubator is obviously a amazing example of, um, so that's who we.
that's amazing. So, you know, crypto or nonprofits, haven't been able to accept crypto donations and get back to making that easy, you know, convert it into the, send it over. Uh, but the other cool piece of it is that there's this, uh, governance associated with it. So members of pop will be able to like choose and help direct, uh, where funds are, are placed and for, for the betterment of society.
Exactly. Yeah. I mean, as far as like, you know, CPG bot benefits, we really want to. We wanna be in, in general, wanna be the brand that lives at the intersection of web three and social impact, but we. Help you help build out the social impact layer of, of the CPG community. Um, there's a lot of low hanging fruit there.
I mean, I've informally, you know, we're talking to nonprofits every day, but we don't have the capacity to do consulting for them, you know, on a one-to-one basis for, with all of them. Um, we've informally, you know, already put opportunities in the CPG telegram to, uh, for nonprofits looking for help launching an Ft collection or a Dow or some other web three partnership.
Um, so we, we want to keep feeding those opportunities into the community, whether it's pro bono or paid work. And yeah, in the long run, you know, when our token comes, we definitely want to airdrop that to CPG members. Um, we're gonna have a funds feature on our website where, you know, people can put together multiple nonprofits and donations to that fund are broken up into, you know, split up amongst those nonprofits.
So there could be a CPG fund where. You know, royalties from different NFT projects go into that. Um, so there's a lot to, there's a lot, a lot of different ideas brewing, uh, a lot of stuff that we put in our application that it seems to have resonated. Um, and yeah, so when it comes to CPG and social impact, you know, my myself, Steven, um, and then my co-founder Alicia, you know, we want to, we wanna help build that out.
All right. Thank you. Yeah, it's, it's gonna be great to have the, the whole team too over time, cuz you have such a, a stacked team and you've, you know, been taking home awards from Pitchfest and you know, east Mexico, and it's incredible product. If anybody's not hasn't yet definitely click into the pin tweet, check out gift pack, check out their website, um, and see how you can support this, this amazing, you know, promising.
All right, let's bring up Audrey. Okay. Some of you might be familiar with a little company called gated. Um, this project was actually began within the black eye community and the CPG club community as well. A lot of you have already benefited from their services. What they do is they take all kinds of pinned content announcements.
Tweets, they take 'em from all the different kind of communities that you're in. Put 'em into one dashboard where you can easily see all those things. Asynchronous. On your own terms, and then they send you a daily email to boot. So you, you don't miss anything. This is one of the coolest projects I've seen in web three.
It's kind of, uh, fixing what Josh Stein was describing as a hair on fire problem, where you have all this alpha and you can't keep up with at all. Um, so Audrey won't you introduce the product and tell us a little bit about your plants, uh, for the pop. Um, hi. Hi, I'm so super excited, um, to be here and yes, Chris, you gave a great explanation of gated so far, but, um, really just like in a nutshell, gated is, um, the problem that we're trying to solve is just that sometimes it's very difficult for community to communicate with their audience.
Hey, you're a little muffled. Oh, sorry. Oh my gosh. Uh,
Oh, hello? Is it still bad? Oh, that's great. Much better. Okay. Okay, cool. Um, yeah, so we're, it's just a platform for, um, content creators or token gated communities to be able to communicate with their token holders in a way that's not, you know, like if. Telegram. It's not telegram a discord where someone has to be in the chat for hours and hours to really get all of the information.
So we have it to where kind of like a, a token gated subs stack where you can create content and only send it to your, um, token holders. And then, like Chris said, we have an automated, um, um, email that can be sent out to token gated communities using a bot in the telegram or discord, um, um, channels that.
Basically takes the most important information, either through pins or even like community, um, uh, engagement through emojis and reactions and it compiles all of that information, puts it onto an app where you can easily skim through the most relevant information about the token gated community, and then also an email on a daily basis.
So, yeah, it's just allowing content creators and token gate communities to communicate, um, asynchronously with their communi their token holders. So, yeah, and we're excited. Pop already is our biggest, um, supporter we have over, uh, almost 700 of the pop members. So I think it's a, it's more than one third of the community is using gated.
And we have like, uh, I think we're at 67% open rates over the last four months that we've been in, in operation. So we're really excited about the response and the support, and we're excited to build more with the pop incubator. And I've had the, the, the privilege of being able to see a little bit behind the scenes and actually like the very ambitious things that you're doing, uh, to grow the company, take it to this next stage.
I, I won't like spill any of the beans of what that, that looks like, but maybe you could just talk a little bit about some of the early traction you had, like the communities that you're working with. Um, and if there's any kind of experiences that, you know, pop members can look forward to from gated that are.
Yeah. So we have, um, about eight communities that is part of our closed beta that's, um, hugs, techy club, pop, CPG, black, a, um, and cool cats. We just announced, which is really amazing, uh, as well. Um, And basically we are taking all of the information that we're getting from these private beta community members and community owners and building a platform that really works for both of the parties.
One of the things that we are super excited about is CRE um, making, not just, um, building gated so that it's not just for token gated communities and telegram or discord, but that it's a native, um, uh, email newsletter. Um, Uh, design and, and, and management platform similar to subst stack. So we have some really awesome content creators that create newsletters that want their newsletters to be token gated.
So in the coming weeks, we'll be, um, launching this content creator, um, platform and having some really cool initial, um, newsletter, um, subscriptions, uh, as part of the launch for that, those new products. So we're super excited about. Well, we love to see it. Um, and I would love to hear from Chandra too, because Chandra actually is affiliated with two of the companies are that are in the incubator.
Um, first payroll three, but also gated, maybe Chandra, if there's anything we're missing, any like, uh, just details or, uh, alpha or anything that you want to share, um, from your own experience, it's. I'm in, I'm in an airport. So sorry if there's gonna be background noise, but I'm first I'll say thank you to the team for, um, recognizing dated and payroll three as companies that need to be in this incubator.
I'm super, super excited about, um, what's to come. I was telling my team that no matter what happens, like being part of the builders club, um, like all of the resources that we expect to get from. Um, this incubator is gonna be like life changing, essentially. Um, but outside of that, you know, one of the things that I think is really, really important as someone that's kind of straddling between these two companies, obviously I'm offering more compliance and payroll type of act like actual payroll type of, um, advising for payroll three, as that's part of what I do on my day.
Um, but when I think about having these two companies come from a community of builders of, of black builders, I'm super, super excited for us to further integrate our communities and further integrate the projects that we're doing. Um, and then use the, the learnings and things to, and I think I said this on one of the last, um, one of the last spaces that I was in with CPG is I, I just, I'm so excited about using the things that we're learning in both communi.
And allowing that to spread through the NFT community, through us, through the things that we're learning through our integrations, our, our interactions with other, um, incubator companies. So there's no additional alpha. I mean, there's one thing I could say that I'm not going to, I'm actually in San Francisco, kind of doing some of the alpha things for, for gated, but.
It's not additional alpha, other than I'm just, if per was here, I could, I could get him to, to release tonight. Think I'm sure you could. He's a little looser on the that. I know. , let's just say we are excited for, for that benefit to come to pop holders too, because it's a, a significant one. And, um, but yeah.
Thank you so much for your leadership Chandra. Um, let's bring up the teams from easily and dippy our last two, uh, cohort members. Let's see. And I'll pin the first. Let's see.
All right. If you're from those teams, go ahead and raise your hand.
Okay. Maybe they won't be able to join us today or maybe they're in audience. And I'm just not seeing that. I, I, I can see Doris in the audience do Doris from the peak. I offered a whole bunch of folks and it still it's a little wonky today. well, I guess we could chat a little bit about them. Um, Maybe RAF is there, do you want to kind of describe, uh, dipper easily to the, to the space?
Yeah, I can start with easily. Um, so easily is a no code platform and they are offering, um, I would say a really broad suite of, of no code solutions starting with, um, an NFT drop to several smart contracts, um, security, um, security side of things. Um, so I would've, I would've left for, um, for Conna to be here and, and, and tell you to himself, but they really have a whole.
A whole broad suite of things. And so we felt there will be something for every building in the community that, that, that every building in the community can use if, if they want to with easily. Yeah. And we should definitely have Connor share, uh, a demo soon with the community because it's a really great, no code platform that lets.
Mint NFTs. It lets you mint, ERC 20 tokens. It lets you, uh, implement staking mechanisms. It lets you do airdrops it lets you do all these kind of common things that you wanna do as an NFT project creator, but without any code. Right. So literally just kind of logging in, uh, filling in the blanks, answering some questions, toggling some buttons, uploading the art, seeing it all.
It's all ready to go to deploy. Um, Deploying it securely and making it just so, so straightforward and simple. It's almost like. Like I can for, for NFTs, but it's really cool. Um, and so we're excited to share more with you about easily over the coming weeks. Um, there were some other great platforms that are working in the no code and infras space for NFTs, and we're working with them to roll out some of those benefits to the pop community.
There's also some that were a lot more robust in terms. Being very dev friendly. Like, um, I see Ian in the audience who has an exceptional product that is a little bit more for like the advanced user too. So we're gonna be sharing all kinds of cool stuff, um, for those building in this space and all the kinds of utility that you might take advantage of as a pod member.
All right. Let's talk about dippy, um, rap, I'll hand it over to you to. Yeah, DP is, um, first of all, we were super impressed by the team. It's, it's a team of two from Honduras and, um, I think it was the only application we received from Honduras. And, um, it's obviously, um, Not, not a country that that is so well known for, for its, you know, what three companies.
So we felt, oh, it's really cool that, that they applied. They have received, they have one actually multiple E hackathons. Like the last one they won was in E E Mexico. Um, so, and their product is really award-winning. So what's cool about it is, you know, at the moment. Anywhere, any app or app you want to use, you have to obviously sign up with your wallet and often with your, um, with your ledger and so on.
And DPI is really making that process a lot easier by allowing you to sign up with your Facebook account or with your Google account, or basically in a way how you would access any web two, um, service. So feels like the UX basically feels like a UX, um, like a web two UX. Anybody is used to, and we felt this is a product that could really help mass adoption of web three plus, um, is a product that anyone in the community can use and would probably like to use and how they're doing it is they, um, they're building.
On a ZK sync to make sure that it's fast and secure and everything, but how exactly it works. I would also would've preferred, uh, Doris to, to talk about it herself. Cause, um, yeah, I'm not, not that deep in the detail. That's pretty cool. So basically, you know, most of these, you know, uh, web three sites, they have the wall and connect button and they've got the meta mask and the wall at connect and Coinbase and all that kinda stuff.
What this does. Literally, you wouldn't see that what you would just see is a regular login and you would sign in with your Google account or your Facebook, just like a regular social account, like, like your Twitter, and that would generate a wallet address for you. You wouldn't see it. Um, but you'd actually be able to retrieve it later at any point.
So imagine that kind of mainstream user that gets stuck at the wallet creation phase, we can get them a log in and have, allow them to have all the benefits of a web three wallet, but they don't have any of that, that struggle and that like that trouble onboarding. Um, but we also don't punish them. They, they also don't punish them for that because they enable it, um, to be retrieved through private keys that are securely stored.
Um, so the user can. Claim their wallet at any point, once they become a little bit more crypto native. So it's a very cool product. Um, zero knowledge SNAs, um, L twos making it all possible for this to exist really quickly, um, and happen very immediately in the background for users. All right. Well, that is.
That is the incubator cohort one. Um, we're really excited. We're honored to be working with you. Um, we're gonna be hosting a lot more of these spaces and we're gonna be sharing videos. We're gonna be sharing demos. We're gonna be talking all about how the community can participate and benefit. Um, but until then, I think it's, we have some time I'd love to have some people up to ask questions.
Um, ideally they're for the, the projects that are participating. Yeah. And while we're getting some of that organized, just another plug to, for all of the builders and all the members of CPG pop, there's a ton of folks in the audience. Please, please, please fill out your member profile. Um, so we can get you into a mastermind group and continue to connect you with other interesting and fun opportunities.
So that's pinned as well. Um, Please make sure that you're filling that out. It's, uh, it's in our portal, which we launched yesterday. So please take the time to do that. We are really excited about the builders club and, um, the builders club is gonna be a lot of fun. Uh I've it's sort of been happening a little less formally, and now that RAF has been able to really put her, um, amazing administrative, um, thought leadership around the, the incubator.
I'm excited. Uh, you know, as a, you know, part-time, co-founder myself, uh, to get involved and to see how, what we can all build together. Yeah. Maybe, um, adding to that one thing I didn't mention is we will, we will have a community's choice award, uh, in the builders club. So, um, there will be a ton of opportunities to get exposure and, and really.
You know, get the word out about your startup through the builders club, besides, besides the mentorship and, and, and feedback and masterminds. So I think it's really, it basically has almost everything the incubator has with except the funding, but I think it's, it's gonna be, um, a really good program and, um, yeah, really help help you acceler.
All right. Well, let's open it up to some discussion, uh, questions from the audience. If you have a question about pop the builders club, the incubator, if you have a question for members of the cohort, if you're curious about how you can plug in, go ahead and request to speak and we'll start bringing people up and chatting.
I've got Mike toner coming on up. What's up pop toner. Hey, pop team. No, this was awesome. Nice job. Nice to meet all of you all. Congratulations to everyone getting in cohort one. I got two, two quick questions. One. I tried to, uh, get my, my, uh, payroll three mint. I realized I sort of had to set up the, um, like almost what the disbursements were going to be when I meant the wallet.
And I don't know where I need to send those right now. So my question is. Uh, a, how long is that gonna be open B? Is it editable or is it sort of minting of the smart contract? Once I create that wallet? Are those disbursements locked in or, or can they be changed? Yeah, the dis yeah, the disbursements are locked in and, and the reason why is because.
For, let me answer the, the most important thing. Yes, you can. You can min as many as you want to, by the way, if you are part of this community, by the way, so awesome. that helps. Second thing is, uh, second thing is what we wanted to do is we want to lock in the contracts because we've heard horror stories of artists and creatives being taken advantage of by, um, you know, by engineers, you know, malicious engineers, uh, where they would set up, you know, Know, put the wallets in, then they would change 'em at some point in the future.
And so what we wanted to have an opportunity is to lock it in meant that smart contract. So everybody that creates a smart wallet is start you own it. And it's your own contract and for now, and you know, like I said, community members can, as many as they want to, and we don't care. Is that, does that answer your question?
It does. Thank you very much. I had, I had one other quick one for the easily crew. Um, love the low code, no code minting of my own NFTs. I saw a little roadmap teaser at the bottom of your site that, that had the 3d minting, the embed minting in, uh, in 3d worlds in browser. Just wondering if there's any, uh, any alpha and how you all are doing that and, and maybe an opportunity for, for me to help out.
I dunno if the easily team's still on or not. Connor, did we lose? I don't think Connor is up here. well, I'm, I'm sure that oh, couldn't come up. Yeah, yeah. Um, no, nice job again, Chris, and yeah. Thanks for, thanks for having me up. Those are my questions. Oh, thanks Mike. Yeah, it's been great. And thanks for being great member of the community and always contributing and showing up.
Um, alright. If anybody want else has a question or would like to chat, go ahead and raise and we'll hang out for a few more.
We also did get Doris up. Go ahead, Doris. Hey there guys. Thank you for having me. I was just like, literally you guys were talking and I was not able to, uh, connect for some, you know, technology issues. Uh, super excited to be part of the community. Uh, super excited to be one of the first sendin startups, um, based in Germany and my co-founders URAS, but we're really trying to bring that easy way to connect, uh, to any web three, uh, you know, startup without actually knowing using web three.
Uh, I think that what really, you know, brings the, you know, the difference from all our competitors is that we're truly decentralized and that's where like the key component. You know, being able to retrieve your private keys using to your knowledge, proof comes into play. Uh, our competitors right now are using, you know, centralized solutions like AWS and CGP, uh, as a way to store your keys, which defeats the purpose of the whole.
You know, uh, ecosystem we believe. Uh, so, uh, the, the, the cool part of like, we're really trying to improve how you can encrypt your keys. Uh, one of the things that we're exploring right now, we're giving you an alpha is just like, can you save your keys by, you know, using a song or using a video or using your favorite pictures?
Uh, right. Uh, so that's, uh, pretty interesting and only you will know. So we're trying to really bring the ter experience to another level that, you know, people are not seeing right now, uh, without really jeopardizing how security comes into play. Uh, we're really, really, really good in encryption. Um, so, uh, hopefully, you know, we're pretty excited of, you know, sharing this with the community and, and thank you very much for, for being part.
Thanks Darris. That's really cool. And what chains are you working with now today? Because I understand that you're chain agnostic and I'm kind of wondering where, how you prioritize. Um, and what's next to be honest. Uh, that's one of the hardest things we've been exploring, cuz when we started, it's just like, are we gonna be.
We started in poly gun, given the nature of like the low gases, but then we launch in avalanche as swell. And we really, we actually writing, uh, um, a post on like, why should you should choose a blockchain? And this has been a, a personal discussion with a lot of people. I'm a developer myself. Uh, so what would paradise in based community?
Right? Uh, so it's just like, what are the blockchain that have a bigger community? So you have Solana, uh, you have near. As blockchains that have big communities. So we prioritize on that all the time. That's our number one thing for us. Yeah. That's really great. Cool. All right. Well, thanks. Yeah, we're looking forward to more updates.
All right, everyone. Um, thanks for showing up today, hanging out, learning about the incubator. Um, we know you're all here to support and help these companies grow. You're here to benefit from the services that they. You're here to support, pop and everything that we do. And you're here to plug in to the builders club and how you can grow your own projects.
